Tom Kmiec Announces Candidacy for Conservative Party Nomination in Calgary Shepard

Calgary, AB - Today, Tom Kmiec launched his campaign seeking the nomination to represent the Conservative Party of Canada in Calgary-Shepard during the 2015 General Election.

"Calgary-Shepard is where my wife Evangeline and I are raising our family. I am putting my name forward to help build a better Calgary and Alberta for my kids.

Calgary is the best place in Canada to live, work and play. We have a booming economy that attracts over 100,000 people every year, many are new Canadians, just like my family, who want to work hard and build a prosperous future for their families.

I want to be a strong voice and advocate within the Conservative Party for our grassroots. I will actively promote small-c conservative values that put families first, lower our taxes and balance the budget. By bringing conservatives together and bringing in new members, we will refresh our movement, bring in new ideas and get us ready for the general election in 2015.

Having worked in Parliament, actively helped businesses succeed at the Calgary Chamber of Commerce and as a past membership chair for Jason Kenney’s Conservative Association; I believe I have the right experience, the right values and the right priorities to guide me.

We need a strong, proven conservative voice to represent our communities and that is why I am putting my name forward."

Tom's campaign is built on grassroots support from small business owners, teachers, professionals and many other residents of Calgary.
