I am provided with annual funds to support my parliamentary duties as prescribed by the Board of Internal Economy. These provide me with funds to pay my employees’ salaries, service contracts, wireless devices, my travel costs to and from Ottawa, and operating expenses for my constituency office, and some costs related to attending conferences.
The House of Commons just tabled its "Members' Expenditures Report" for the period of April 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017. I believe it is important for you, as a Canadian taxpayer, to have an annual summary of the activities of elected officials in public office and the related costs.
