MP Tom Kmiec extends well wishes of good health and prosperity on eve of Lunar New Year
This evening, Canadians of Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean heritage will come together to celebrate the beginning of the Lunar New Year, also known as the Chinese New Year, Seollal to Koreans, and Tết to the Vietnamese.
The Lunar New Year is a time of celebration and looking forward to a promising new year.
This celebration is a fitting time to reflect on contributions that Canadians of Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and other heritage have made to Canada as elected officials, in business, in our judiciary, in military uniform and in many other walks of life.
I encourage all Canadians to learn more about this important holiday and join the many festivities and celebrations planned in Calgary this evening and throughout the month.
My family and I offer our well wishes to all those celebrating the Lunar New Year, and as we enter the Year of the Rooster, may it bring you much peace, health, prosperity and joy.
Chúc Mừng Năm Mới
Happy New Year!
Tom Kmiec, MP
